On the basis of her evaluation, I must tell you that this particular court cannot be considered safe for league tennis, and may not be used for any future league matches. This prohibition may not be set aside under any conditions, including but not limited to the presence of pads or the agreement of the visiting team. We realize that this loss of one court does present challenges to you and the teams that use this site, but we must consider the safety of our player first. We feel fortunate that there have been no accidents there in the past. We value our public facility teams and know that they frequently face situations that private facilities do not. It can be distractions from activities next to courts, or poor court maintenance, or locked bathrooms or no available water. In your case, the situation is a court that does not measure up to what NorCal can consider safe.
