USTA NorCal will invest approximately $3,000,000 across Northern California for programs, equipment, events and personnel to create new youth and adult tennis players and to retain existing players. $800,000 of that will be spent on Community Tennis activities like the USA Tennis Pathway Programs for school and after-school programs, team tennis adult programs, community tennis association formation, and public courts assistance grants for repairs and improvements. We will now have thirteen individuals living across NorCal promoting tennis programs in their local communities at the schools, park and recreation districts, and to private and public tennis facilities.

$500,000 provides leagues for over 40,000 participants in six different seasons. $110,000 allows NTRP, Senior, Open and Wheelchair tournament events to be sanctioned, officiated and player rankings to be maintained. Junior tennis receives $300,000 for High Performance and Team Tennis Youth programs. Sponsorship and Sales use $100,000 to generate revenue streams for the Section. $130,000 is invested to create Multicultural Outreach opportunities in the major urban areas of Northern California.

$180,000 allows NorCal to maintain its Information Technology in the office and on the Web. Graphic design is accomplished in our newsletters, schedules, publications, web pages, posters, programs, ads, and flyers for $60,000. Our newsletter, yearbook, articles in the USTA magazine and various event programs are handled by Communications for $100,000. The General and Administrative functions of the Section use $360,000.

NorCal revenue comes from six major sources. The US Open generates the money for our $1,160,000 operations grant and the $300,000 performance grant. Membership provides us with $555,000 in revenue. Our Leagues produce $630,000 for us. Adult Tournaments and Sponsorship and Sales each generate about $100,000. The remainder of the total comes from interest, junior fees and logo wear sales.
